in two seconds, Yosuke had gone from relatively relaxed to fighting the urge to throw his phone across the room. his hands strain to press out a response, each thumb pressing down way too hard.
somewhere deep down, he wants to know why the hell he's getting this kind of message from this specific person - something must have happened, something technically good. these are words he once wanted to hear more than anything else. but he's frayed and exhausted, too. he can't deal with any of this right now.]
[That's....not quite what he expected, but he's sure that Yosuke is probably taking it much, much worse in person right now. And he doesn't blame Yosuke for warning him away from his friend, even if Ichigo has already met the detective.
